Post-revocation stream access via retained authorization
Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 26, 2024
Insufficient session expiration in GitLab CE/EE allows remote authenticated users to access streaming results after token revocation. A long-lived streaming endpoint keeps an established connection authorized instead of invalidating its token when that token is revoked. The attacker must first obtain a valid low-privilege token and maintain the connection; stale authorization then exposes streaming results after access should end.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=16.11 <17.4.5
- Affected versionversion=17.5 <17.5.3
