Authenticated code execution via unchecked profile image upload
Published Nov 25, 2024 · Updated Nov 25, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Codezips Examination Seating Arrangement System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to upload PHP files. The profile.php image handler uses $_FILES input directly to choose the destination path without validating the file type or sanitizing the supplied filename. A low-privileged application account can therefore store and execute a PHP script on the web server, enabling command execution.
