Stored XSS via unsanitized widget width setting
Published Dec 27, 2024 · Updated Dec 27, 2024
Stored XSS in the Float Block WordPress plugin 1.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a widget setting. The block-width field accepts a closing quote and script element, stores the value without sanitization, and emits it without output escaping when the widget settings are rendered. Administrator privileges and a subsequent rendering of the saved settings are required; injected script runs in the viewing user's browser.
