Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Dec 27, 2024 · Updated Dec 27, 2024
Stored XSS in Salko WP-SVG 0.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject browser scripts through shortcode attributes. The shortcode renderer outputs attacker-controlled attributes such as width and height into page markup without validation or context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the shortcode, and the script executes when another user opens the affected post or page.
