CVE-2024-11638Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator session hijacking via cross-origin code analysis

Published Mar 10, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025

Session cookie disclosure in Gtbabel before 6.6.9 allows remote attackers to hijack an administrator session via a crafted link. The gtbabel-trans admin page accepts an attacker-controlled URL parameter for code analysis without restricting it to the blog origin, then sends the logged-in user's WordPress cookies with the outbound request. Exploitation requires a logged-in user to open the crafted URL; an administrator's exposed session cookie permits account takeover.
