Stored XSS via unescaped Text Block identifier

Published Jan 13, 2025 · Updated Jan 13, 2025

Stored XSS in Icegram Express before 5.7.45 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript through a crafted Text Block identifier. The form editor stores the Text Block Settings id value without sanitizing or escaping it, then inserts it into markup when the form is edited or embedded. Administrator privileges and victim interaction are required; the script runs when an administrator advances the editor or a visitor views an embedded form, exposing data and actions available to that browser session.
