CVE-2024-11627Network attack vector

Session fixation via insufficient session expiration

Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Jan 7, 2025

Session fixation in Progress Sitefinity CMS 4.0 through 14.4.8142 and affected 15.x builds allows remote attackers to hijack user sessions. Progress has not published the affected session-management locus or how an attacker-controlled identifier persists across authentication. Exploitation requires victim interaction and high-complexity conditions; success lets the attacker act within the victim's authenticated session without interrupting service.
