Adjacent authentication bypass via hard-coded JWT secret
Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 23, 2024
Authentication bypass in macrozheng mall 1.0.0 through 1.0.3 allows attackers to impersonate existing users via forged JWTs. The mall-admin configuration embeds mall-admin-secret as jwt.secret, and JwtTokenUtil uses that value directly to sign and verify HS512 tokens. Exploitation requires adjacent-network reachability and a valid account name, after which a correctly signed token is accepted as that account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
