Unauthenticated code execution via downloader path traversal
Published Jan 8, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Code injection in Iptanus File Upload 4.24.15 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted downloader request. The wfu_file_downloader.php handler appends the unsanitized source parameter to the temporary-directory path, reads and deletes the selected file, and trusts attacker-supplied JSON that controls a PHP include path. No authentication is required; a reachable upload form permits crafted JSON to bypass MIME checks, enabling server-side code execution, arbitrary file reads, and file deletion.
