Stack-based buffer overflow in AutomationDirect C-more EA9 6.78 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted EAP9 file. The EAP9 parser fails to validate user-supplied file data, allowing malformed content to corrupt a stack buffer. Exploitation requires the target to open the file or visit a malicious page, and resulting code runs in the current process context.
