Stored XSS via unescaped Icon Link output
Published Feb 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in the Icon Link field of BoldThemes Bold Page Builder 4.8.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The plugin stores contributor-supplied Icon Link values without sufficient sanitization and emits them into page output without context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is required to plant the payload, and a visitor must open the affected page for the script to run in that visitor's browser.
