Code execution via malformed ABC file parsing
Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Dec 4, 2024
Heap-based buffer overflow in KeyShot Studio 2024 allows remote attackers to execute code after a user opens a malicious ABC file. The luxion_geometry_alembic.exe Alembic importer copies attacker-controlled data into a heap buffer without first validating its length. Exploitation requires user interaction, and successful code runs with the privileges of the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
