Code execution via unvalidated DXF data
Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 22, 2024
Memory corruption in IrfanView 4.67 allows context-dependent attackers to execute code through a crafted DXF file. The DXF parser fails to validate file-supplied data before using it in memory operations, producing a memory-corruption condition. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and resulting code runs in the current process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
