Code execution via malformed DWG parsing
Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 22, 2024
Memory corruption in IrfanView 4.67 allows context-dependent attackers to execute code by inducing the parsing of a crafted DWG file. The DWG parser fails to validate user-supplied data before processing it, producing a memory-corruption condition in the current process. Exploitation requires a target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, after which attacker-supplied code runs with that process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
