CVE-2024-1139Network attack vector

Authenticated repository-secret disclosure via hash.Sum misuse

Published Apr 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 14, 2026

Information exposure in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.12 through 4.15 allows remote authenticated users to read a repository pull secret. The Telemeter client deployment builder passes the token as the prefix argument to hash.Sum without first writing it, so the pod-template annotation begins with the raw token. Basic cluster login credentials and permission to view that pod manifest expose repository credentials without altering the cluster.
