Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Nov 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Dino Game 1.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through shortcode attributes. The dino-game shortcode places user-supplied attributes into page output without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, which executes in visitors' browsers whenever an injected page is opened.
