CVE-2024-11368Network attack vector

Browser script execution via unescaped settings URL

Published Dec 6, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Reflected XSS in Splash Sync for WordPress 2.0.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts via a crafted link. The settings-page code builds a URL with add_query_arg and emits it without context-appropriate escaping, allowing query-string markup to reach the response. Exploitation requires no account but requires a user to open an attacker-supplied link, and successful execution can expose or alter data in that user's browser session.
