Restricted-content disclosure via unfiltered search results
Published Dec 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Information disclosure in Tickera Restrict 2.2.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to read restricted post content through WordPress search. The plugin fails to exclude access-restricted posts from WordPress search queries, so search results expose content that direct post views withhold. No authentication is required, but a site must contain restricted posts whose content the core search feature indexes and returns.
