Administrator access via unverified OTP identity
Published Dec 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authentication bypass in ScriptsBundle AdForest 5.1.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to log in as arbitrary users. The sb_login_user_with_otp_fun() function authenticates an OTP login request without properly verifying that the supplied identity belongs to the requester. No account or user interaction is required, and selecting an administrator account grants full administrative access to the WordPress site.
