CVE-2024-11347Network attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via JBIG2 integer overflow

Published Feb 13, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Integer overflow in the PostScript interpreter in Lexmark printers allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted JBIG2 file. The new_image path fails to validate user-controlled JBIG2 dimensions, allowing an integer overflow before a memory write. Authentication is not required, and successful exploitation runs code as the pagemaker unprivileged user on the device.
