Remote code execution via loadCFFdata type confusion
Published Feb 13, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Type confusion in the PostScript interpreter in Lexmark printers allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through submitted print data. The loadCFFdata method fails to validate user-supplied data before treating it as an incompatible type, producing type confusion. Network access to a PostScript-capable print path is sufficient, and successful exploitation runs code as the unprivileged pagemaker user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
