Reflected XSS via unescaped add_query_arg URL
Published Dec 3, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in Campaign Monitor Forms by Optin Cat 2.5.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through a crafted URL. In includes/eoi-subscribers.php, a URL built with add_query_arg is emitted without appropriate output escaping, allowing attacker-controlled URL data to enter HTML. A victim must follow the crafted link, after which the script runs in the visitor's browser under the affected site's origin.
