Stored XSS via unescaped page title
Published Nov 18, 2024 · Updated Jun 2, 2026
Stored XSS in django CMS 3.11.7, 3.11.8, 4.1.2, and 4.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript via page titles. The page_attribute template tag strips tags from page_title instead of HTML-escaping the value, leaving quote-delimited attributes injectable. Admin-interface access is required to store a title payload; the script executes when a visitor opens the affected page.
