CVE-2024-11316Network attack vector

Device overload via bypassed file-size limits

Published Dec 5, 2024 · Updated Dec 5, 2024

Resource exhaustion in ABB ASPECT products 3.08.02 and earlier allows remote attackers to overload devices via oversized inputs. The file-size validation accepts inputs that bypass its size limits, allowing processing without an enforced resource bound; ABB has not disclosed the affected request handler or comparison error. Internet exposure or another insecure-network misconfiguration makes the unauthenticated path reachable, and exploitation can interrupt device availability.
