Unauthenticated content disclosure via unfiltered search results
Published Dec 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Sensitive information exposure in Simple Page Access Restriction 1.0.29 and earlier allows remote attackers to read restricted posts via search. The plugin's query filtering leaves protected posts in WordPress core GET and REST search results instead of excluding them. No account is required, but disclosure depends on a restricted post being indexed and matched by an attacker-controlled search.
