Unauthenticated account takeover via arbitrary email change
Published Dec 25, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Webkul WooCommerce Point of Sale 6.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over arbitrary accounts. When option values are empty, the plugin insufficiently validates logged_in_user_id and permits an unauthenticated request to replace any user's email address. An attacker can target an administrator, invoke the password-reset flow, and gain administrative access without an existing account.
