Script execution via unescaped Disqus name
Published Dec 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in AMP for WP – Accelerated Mobile Pages 1.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject script via disqus_name. The includes/disqus.html client script inserts the parameter into executable JavaScript without contextual escaping, allowing crafted input to break out of its string. The endpoint requires no authentication, but exploitation requires a user to follow a crafted link; the injected script then runs in the site's origin.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
