Administrator command execution via DNSServer injection
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
OS command injection in Zyxel VMG8825-T50K Firmware 5.50(ABOM.8.5)C0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run OS commands. The diagnostic function passes the DNSServer parameter into an operating-system command without neutralizing command syntax, allowing injected input to alter the command. Administrator privileges and compromised credentials are required; WAN administration is disabled by default, limiting remote exposure unless enabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
