Stored script execution via Number Slider display setting
Published Dec 26, 2024 · Updated Dec 30, 2024
Stored XSS in WPForms before 1.9.2.3 allows remote authenticated users with administrative access to execute script via a form setting. The Number Slider field's Advanced Value Display setting stores crafted HTML and renders it without adequate sanitization or output escaping when the form is previewed and the slider is clicked. Administrative form-editing access is required, and the flaw remains reachable when unfiltered_html is disabled, including in WordPress multisite deployments.
