CVE-2024-11186Network attack vector

Unauthorized managed-device actions via improper access control

Published May 8, 2025 · Updated May 8, 2025

Improper access control in Arista CloudVision Portal 2024.3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to exceed device permissions. The device-interaction app accepts requests under /cvpservice/di/ without enforcing the authenticated user's intended authorization scope; Arista has not disclosed the specific handler or missing check. A valid CloudVision account and an on-premises virtual or physical appliance are required, and exploitation can issue unauthorized CLI actions to managed EOS devices.
