VLAN isolation bypass via cross-VLAN packet forwarding
Published May 27, 2025 · Updated May 28, 2025
Improper resource isolation in Arista EOS affected releases allows remote attackers to breach VLAN boundaries via Layer 2 traffic. The Layer 2 forwarding path sends some ingress packets to ports assigned to different VLANs, while the underlying implementation defect is undisclosed. Exploitation requires IPv4 or IPv6 routing to be enabled and can expose or inject traffic across segmentation boundaries without interrupting service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
