Published Nov 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Kognetiks Chatbot for WordPress 2.1.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify assistants via forged requests. The update_assistant, add_new_assistant, and delete_assistant handlers accept state-changing requests without validating WordPress nonces. Exploitation requires an administrator to trigger a forged request, after which assistant configurations can be added, changed, or deleted.
