Authenticated log disclosure via unchecked AJAX handlers
Published Nov 16, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in WP Log Viewer 1.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read logs and change plugin settings. Several handlers in libs/Ajax.php execute log-access and settings-update AJAX actions without checking the caller's WordPress capabilities. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, exposing debug-log content and permitting changes to plugin-related user and general settings.
