Incorrect use of a privileged API in D-Link DSL-6740C allows remote attackers to reset any user's password without authentication. The password-change API performs a privileged reset for an unauthenticated caller and permits selection of any user account; the endpoint and parameter-level defect are undisclosed. Successful use grants access as that user to Web, SSH, and Telnet services.
