Stored XSS via unsanitized custom color setting
Published Feb 27, 2024 · Updated Oct 27, 2024
Stored XSS in 3UU Shariff Wrapper before 4.6.10 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through plugin settings. The Design panel's Custom Color field accepts an attribute-breaking value and places it in generated share-link markup without adequate sanitization or output escaping. Administrator access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite sites or installations that disable unfiltered_html; the script executes when an affected share link is rendered.
