CVE-2024-11037Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated config disclosure via Windows absolute path

Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025

Path traversal in GPT Academic commit 679352d allows remote authenticated users to read config.py through a crafted Windows URL. The file-serving route accepts a project-absolute Windows path that evades blocked_paths, so Gradio returns a configuration file intended to remain inaccessible. A valid application session and a Windows deployment are required; exposure is limited to readable local files, including stored OpenAI API keys.
