Unauthenticated account takeover via unvalidated reset code
Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authentication bypass in AppPresser Mobile App Framework 4.4.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over user accounts. The password-reset workflow updates the password for an email address without first establishing that the supplied reset code is valid. Knowledge of a user's email address is sufficient to set a new password and access that WordPress account without prior authentication.
