CVE-2024-11022Network attack vector

Unauthorized web login via reusable authentication challenge

Published Dec 6, 2024 · Updated Dec 6, 2024

Authentication replay in the web servers of SICK InspectorP61x and InspectorP62x all versions allows remote attackers to log in with a reused challenge. The challenge-response procedure accepts the same nonce and associated authentication information multiple times instead of invalidating each challenge after use. Network access and capture of a valid unencrypted exchange are required; replay grants the captured account's web access and can expose or alter data and interrupt service.
