Unauthenticated database access via unsanitized category parameter
Published Nov 8, 2024 · Updated Nov 8, 2024
SQL injection in 1000 Projects Bookstore Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to access its database via a crafted cat parameter. The unauthenticated /admin/process_category_add.php endpoint inserts the POST cat value directly into a MySQL query without validation or parameter binding. No login is required; demonstrated time-based blind queries can extract database contents and alter data within the application's database privileges.
