Unauthenticated database manipulation via category SQL injection
Published Nov 8, 2024 · Updated Nov 8, 2024
SQL injection in 1000 Projects Bookstore Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or modify database data via a POST request. The admin/process_category_edit.php handler inserts the cat parameter directly into a MySQL query without validation or parameter binding. No application login is required; a time-based blind payload can invoke SLEEP(), disclose database contents through timing, and alter or delete data within the database account's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
