CVE-2024-1097Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unescaped report name

Published Nov 15, 2024 · Updated Nov 15, 2024

Stored XSS in Craig Knudsen WebCalendar 1.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser. The report-creation path stores the Report Name value in cal_report_name and later renders it without HTML neutralization when another user views the report. This requires an account able to create reports and a second user who views the saved report, exposing that viewer's session cookies and account actions to the injected script.
