Authenticated command execution via crafted enable parameter
Published Nov 7, 2024 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
OS command injection in TOTOLINK X18 9.1.0cu.2024_B20220329 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via crafted enable input. The cstecgi.cgi handler accepts the attacker-controlled enable argument and allows it to alter an OS command; the responsible function and command template are undisclosed. Access to the remote management interface with low privileges is required, after which injected commands can read, modify, or interrupt router operations.
