Authenticated code execution via unsandboxed LLM output
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025
Code injection in GPT Academic 3.83 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code on the backend through CodeInterpreter. The plugin executes code produced from user-controlled prompts without placing the LLM-generated output in a sandbox. Low-privileged access to the network-facing plugin is sufficient, and successful exploitation grants code execution with the server process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
