Script disruption via malicious .htaccess directives
Published Feb 27, 2026 · Updated Feb 27, 2026
Embedded malicious code in OVRI Payment 1.7.0 allows attackers to alter script handling through bundled .htaccess directives. The plugin-root and assets .htaccess files block certain scripts while expressly permitting known malicious PHP filenames. Impact extends beyond the plugin directory when either file is moved higher in an Apache web tree that honors its directives, exposing broader script blocking and execution.
