Cross-site request forgery via wildcard CORS policy
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
CSRF in eosphoros-ai DB-GPT 0.6.0 allows remote attackers to submit requests to server endpoints through a victim's browser. The dbgpt_server-created Uvicorn application configures Starlette CORSMiddleware with a wildcard allowed origin, so cross-origin requests receive permission across every exposed endpoint. Exploitation requires a victim's browser to reach the instance and process attacker-controlled content; the instance need not be internet-facing, and unauthorized endpoint interaction can alter data or interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
