Settings modification via missing AJAX nonce checks
Published Dec 18, 2024 · Updated Dec 18, 2024
CSRF in Cost Calculator Builder before 3.2.43 allows remote attackers to alter calculator and currency settings through a logged-in administrator. The calc_save_settings and calc_save_general_settings AJAX handlers process attacker-controlled POST bodies without validating a CSRF nonce. A privileged WordPress user must be logged in and load attacker-controlled HTML, after which calculator titles or the sitewide currency setting can be changed.
