Unauthenticated content disclosure via ungated REST requests
Published Mar 5, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Information exposure in Password Protected Store for WooCommerce 2.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to read protected post titles and content. The plugin's password gate does not restrict WordPress REST API post requests, so those endpoints return content without validating the store password. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the reported impact is limited to post-title and post-content disclosure.
