Reflected XSS via unescaped donation-list URLs
Published Nov 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in Charitable 1.8.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts in a privileged user’s browser via a crafted link. The donation-list table builds navigation URLs with add_query_arg and remove_query_arg, then emits the attacker-controlled result without URL escaping. Exploitation requires a user with access to the WordPress donations list to open the crafted URL, exposing data or actions available in that browser session.
