Restricted-content disclosure via missing REST authorization
Published Mar 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Sensitive information exposure in WP Chill Simple Restrict 1.2.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read restricted page content. The REST API response path returns page titles and content without applying the permission assignments that the front-end content filter enforces. A WordPress account and access to a protected page are required; exploitation discloses that page's title and body without changing site data.
