Administrator script execution via unescaped request URL
Published Nov 15, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in Squirrly Limited WP Ghost 5.3.01 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts through a crafted URL. HMWP_Classes_Tools processes the current request URL without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping before emitting it into an administrative page. Exploitation requires an administrator to open the attacker-controlled link, allowing script execution in that administrator's browser context.
